The building has been inspected and the project is doable, city council has gave the green light to transferring ownership of the property to us. For this to happen
we must have our own 501c tax status. As such a accountant has been engaged to draw up all the required paper work.
The application for 501c tax status has been submitted to the IRS (9 July 2009)
Efforts are still underway to locate a picture of the hall when it was still being used
The inspection showed that basically the foundation is good, two of the short upright timbers at the ramp end of the building have to be replaced, one horizontal timber has to be replaced. Chuck Wilson has some bridge timbers and thinks he has one long enough. The east and west walls both bow in

Ownership has been transferred to the historical society.
September 2009
The restoration project has been broken down into three stages with stage one consisting of stabilizing the building from further deterioration. It is hoped that funding can be found to complete stage one by Labor Day 2010
1 Rebuild Ramp
2 repairs to Foundation
3 Square building to include sliding doors
Stage two
1 Rebuild Bell tower, Hang Bell and install new shake roof
Stage three
1 Replace structure in back for hanging hose
2 Install guard rails or chain link fence on sides of ramps and in front to prevent access to sides of Bldg
